Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Comparably awards.

Comparably awards recognize the companies and leaders rated highest by their own employees. Winners are determined entirely by anonymous employee feedback across 20 workplace categories, not by editorial boards or paid nominations.

Winners are based on structured employee ratings across categories like compensation, leadership, work-life balance, and perks. Each rating is scored and compared against companies of similar size. Results reflect 12 months of anonymous feedback.

Unlike other workplace awards, there's no self-nomination, no application fee, and no editorial selection. Winners are chosen entirely by ratings from the people who actually work there.

Find your company on Comparably and start rating. It takes a few minutes. Encourage your coworkers to do the same. More participation means more representative data.

Eligibility is based on a 12-month rating period. Large companies (500+ employees) need at least 75 employee participants. Small and mid-size companies (under 500) need at least 25. Previous wins don't affect future eligibility.

Four different awards are announced each quarter, in March, June, September, and December. Results are published on the Comparably blog and syndicated to national press.
